With the algae blooms making water supplies dangerous around the Great Lakes, water shutoffs in Detroit, and unsanitary water supplies in other Michigan and Ohio cities, I couldn’t help thinking about resource scarcity and abundance. Humans are extracting ever last bit out of this earth from oil to minerals and metals. Yet we are not taking care of the most critical resources to our own existence.
