In 2018, the Fair Food Network and partners reached out for support in a food system assessment for the Battle Creek area of West Michigan. With a small team over 80 stores were surveyed and assessed for availability, price, and quality of foods. The resulting report was used by a group of partners to target gap areas for investment to build the local food system.
